World Nature Photography Day
Today is World Nature Photography day and what a better opportunity for myself as a photographer to share some of my nature photography work in celebration of that. Nature photography is one of the easiest (in my opinion) Photography subjects to really get your teeth into and that’s simply because it’s the most widely accessible and gives you many different subjects within the genre to photograph.
One of my favorite things to photograph when it comes to nature photography is macros because it gives people the ability to see something they see every day but from a whole different perspective. I’ve not really had the opportunity to fully get my teeth stuck into the macro side of things though due to not having the equipment, the best I’ve got is my macro lens for my phone, and to be fair, that does an excellent job itself.
Here are a few examples of those;
I also love shooting in nature with a 50mm at 1.8. The depth of field is just stunning and the images reach a whole new level of beauty I think, however, if I’m not shooting macro or with a 50mm I tend to do a lot of infrared work in nature. You can see some of my infrared work at Hartsholme park here.
Here are some of my favourite 50mm 1.8 photographs;
How do you feel about nature photography? Do you love it or loath it? If you have any I’d love to see your shots too so please, link them for me to see.
Nature is a wonderful thing, not only is it mind-blowing at times, it’s constantly changing and giving us brand new subjects to photograph along the way.
