Hello lovelies. I am so disheartened by the lack of other posts on this blog. I was expecting to have much more to post about this week however, to say that this week didn’t go according to plan is an understatement.
Stewart had the majority of the week off and we hoped there would be a lot of productive adventuring on the radar but unfortunately something different was on the cards for us. Sadly, Friday after many trips to the vet we had to make the decision to get Odin put to sleep.
She wasn’t gaining weight and Infact was loosing it pretty fast even with veterinary help so it was the best thing to do.
It makes me so angry to think about the fact that Odin was sold to us with an underlying desease and had no chance of recovery.
Odin has such a big impact on the house, she wasn’t exactly small so she’s very, very easy to notice that she’s not here with us anymore. The kitchen is clean in the morning and she’s not badgering us for carrot when we walk through to see her. She truly has left the biggest hole in our lives.
I’m hoping that, that is the end of our losses this year for pets. It’s the 3rd of March and 4 furbies have been lost this year alone. Much to my supprise it’s not just Stewart and I that feel the effects of the loss of a pet either. Healy, our first rabbit became very close to Odin and has currently fallen into a little pit of sadness so he is receiving a lot more attension from us this week.
We also had to revisit the vets on Saturday morning as Friday night we noticed that our new boy, Ted had a tilted head. It seriously never seems to end. Ted left with a suspected ear infection but the vets couldn’t be too sure to confirm that that is what it actually was, which seems to be the case with all of our animals that we take to the vets strangely enough. We’re hoping it goes away with the medication he’s been given because if not there’s a chance it might be cancer. It seriously never seems to end.
There’s been no adventures on the cards this week and very little photos have been taken due to circumstances.
I hope that you’re all well and have had a better week than I.
