They say spontaneous shoots are the best and they would be absolutely right! A photoshoot in the park is one of the most pretty locations, in my opinion when it comes to capturing mummy and baby together. Not only is it relaxed, but it also gives you some beautiful backdrops to work with and these backdrops are ever changing over the seasons which makes it a perfect location to venture back to.
When we first arranged to meet at The Arboretum, the sun was shining. At the time we were due to meet it started to cloud over and didn’t take long before the heavens opened and we had to take shelter waiting for the rain to pass.
At first Theodore didn’t seem to like me and cried at the sight of me – I do look slightly different to how I looked last time he saw me as my hair is a considerable amount darker- I finally won him back round though and the way to make a baby like you is tickling his tummy.
It was a short and brief encounter but all in all it was extremely successful and I think all parties enjoyed their day. I know I certainly did. I get so much enjoyment out of photographing people and this shoot was a long time coming. I very much look forwards to photographing Caitlin and Theo again, hopefully, I wont have too long to wait.
All photographs in this post were taken with a Canon 6D and a 50mm 1.5.
