VS Nails – Nail Technician in Lincoln, Lincolnshire [[GIFTED AD]]
VS NAILS - Nail technician in Lincoln, lincolnshire
Personally, I’m not really someone to get my nails done by a professional, simply because I love changing them up and I literally have a new style every other day so when Vicky from VS Nails approached me for a collaboration, I ran it by Vicky that maybe she could, in fact, do my sisters prom nails instead of mine for the same deal, if you like, she kindly accepted.
My sister has anxiety and would self describe herself as socially awkward and yet Vicky made her feel very comfortable, so comfortable that even Nik decided she’d happily go back to VS Nails in the future.

”My name is Vicky, I’m married to my lovely Husband Sam and we have Michael, a two year old ray of sunshine, as well as two cats. I used to be the wedding planner at the Doubletree by Hilton on the Brayford in Lincoln, but after 5 years of trying for a baby and numerous hospital trips we ended up qualifying for ivf. We were successful and had our gorgeous little boy, Michael, in February 2017.
I was due to return to work in January 2018 but it was a full time, 9-6pm job, with evening and weekend appointments as and when my bridal couples needed me. After such a battle to have a baby I couldn’t face leaving him for that amount of time, even though I loved my job.
In the last few months my maternity leave I started looking at my options, something that would fit round family life.My sister, Amy Hansell, is a Nail Technician and loves her job. She inspired me to take a leap of faith and start working for myself.
In October 2017 I qualified in CND Shellac and in the December we moved to a bigger house in Skellingthorpe, which gave me a room to set up my little salon, VS Nails. I have since qualified in The Gel Bottle, the latest gel polish, as well as Builder In A Bottle (BIAB) which can be used to strengthen the nail or build extensions. Setting up my own business has been an amazing journey that changed how I live my life and spend my time.”
Nic was really happy with the quality of her first ever nail tech experience to say the least and I was ultimately impressed with how shiny the nails were even a couple of days after they were done. There’s something to be said for visiting a technician for the very best results, it really is true. My self painted gels are NEVER that shiny an hour after they’ve been done.
I would 100% recommend Vicky to anyone. The fact that she made my sister feel so comfortable and was understanding of my absence due to pregnancy symptoms means that she genuinely cares about her clients.
