VS NAILS – Nail technician in Lincoln, lincolnshire Personally, I’m not really someone to get my nails done by a professional, simply because I love changing them up and I literally have a new style every other day so when Vicky from VS Nails approached […]
Since Stewart got his G0-Pro he has been an absolute pain in the backside wanting to go out filming and photographing all the time. I’m not complaining, honestly but it’s a nightmare when you can’t find anywhere you want to go. Unfortunately the thing we’re both quite into photographing requires a lengthy drive of sorts and just sometimes, the daily chores gets in the way of that.
and of course the fact we’re spending hours on end playing words with friends together way past midnight and sleeping in until 10:30am.
Stewart suggested the usual places like Fiskerton Fen, Tupholme Abbey, Hartsholme and Watt’s Wood but honestly, there are so many times you can photograph the same place without getting bored of it, so I suggested Hackthorn.
Hackthorn is the location of where we plan to have our commitment ceremony in October, so we know how photogenic it is but we’ve never actually walked around to get some pictures and fully explore the open space around it. It’s actually even more stunning than I thought.
I took my infrared camera with me, obviously as it never leaves my side when I go shooting and I got some really cool pictures of a tree there, it was actually this particular tree that caught mine and Stewarts attension in the first place all those years ago.

Outfit of the week monochrome maxi Hello babies! I am back with an outfit of the week post! Finally now I have stopped ‘wallowing in self pity’. Has anyone else noticed that we are currently in that awkward season stage where it’s too hot for […]
Imagine the heart wrenching moment you’re told you have to go a whole day or two without WiFi. How nauseous you suddenly feel due to the fear speeding through your veins. You’re plagued by the single question, What am I going to do without the […]
Keep reading to find out one of the best days out in Lincolnshire this summer!
This week has mostly been all about DIY. I’ve completely destroyed the house this week and I mean that in a good way. I revarnished the living room floor, it was a long time coming but I wasn’t going to do it last week due to having guests over for last week’s summer fiesta! Not only have I done that but I also took two windows out by myself and took a side out of the kitchen.
The windows that I took out were separating the kitchen and the conservatory from one another, I thought not only does taking the windows out make the space more sociable it will also be absolutely lovely when it’s raining outside and I can hear that rain in the kitchen as well as the conservatory. We do have double doors that separate the two doors but due to the dog wars, they stay shut.
The kitchen side that I decided to move has gone into the conservatory and has made a really cute breakfast bar area, it also has the fish tank on to! SO whilst I have made the house perfect for listening to the rain, we’re not getting any rain.
Messingham Zoo – Perfect for Days out in Lincolnshire this summer!
Messingham zoo is a new wildlife park in the Lincolnshire area. If you’re from around Lincolnshire, I’d highly recommend that you go and visit this place, not only are the prices great but the people that work there are the absolute loveliest and not only that you’re allowed to touch practically all of the animals. The absolute highlight of my day was holding a baby continental giant bunny. OH MY GOD. I could have actually cried. They were so flaming cute I could barely contain myself. I did take my camera with me however, I was too engrossed in what was going on around me to care about anything else. Even taking photographs.
How bloody cute is this baby rabbit?! YES, THAT IS A BABY!!!! 10 WEEKS OLD!
MY MUM GOT A BIRD AND IT’S SO BLOODY AMAZING!
We’ve never really had a bird in the family, so the day my mum brought one home was pretty ace. I was so giddy and excited to go meet it. It took me 2 days before I gave in and had to go meet the little cutie. Her name is Saffy. She is 12 weeks old I think my mum said and honestly, is the most friendly little bird in the world and took quite a shine to my hair, especially pulling the grips out of my hair.
BEST PICS FROM THE WEEK
Lincoln Cathedral is beautiful on its own but have you ever wondered what it looks like in a completely different light? It’s a Thursday afternoon and the sun is brightly shining on the town of Lincoln. Inspiration is running through my veins so I decided […]
Church’s are stunning anyway due to their intricate and detailed designs within the architecture. Some people are completely put off by the word “church” and hold some kind of hostility towards it. Weird. I am not a religious person, I don’t believe or not […]
Some of you may know this place more familiarly as ‘Pet’s Corner’.
I should have posted this some time ago, however, I totally forgot about it, whoops.
Sundown Adventure land has been one of my favorite places of all time for such a long time. If you want to allow your imagination to run wild in all your fairytale dreams, this is the perfect place to go. It’s been such a long time since we all got to go to sundown, but now my littlest brother is of an age where he would have really enjoyed the experience so we took him. It was great fun, however, I’m pretty sure the ”adult children” had a much better time than Eli.
Not a lot has changed since we were last here asides from a few additions to the park, there were quite a lot of new rides there that weren’t there before, which I thought was good considering the price you pay to get in.
I particularly enjoyed the Christmas ride and filmed practically the whole thing, I shall post the video below! I imagine this place would be much more magical than it already is at Christmas.
In addition to all of the above, we also had some donuts, which were tasty as hell but unfortunately weren’t cooked properly and almost everyone that ate them had a dodgy stomach all night.
Asides from that it was a brilliant day, obviously finished off with a trip to the gift shop before we headed home.
